I love family restaurants because they are filled with interesting people, usually have diverse serving staff, and have a great variety of food. So true at Maxims--friendly, good gluten free and vegetarian options, large servings, really well-prepared food.

I had the Lumberjack Skillet with a side of corned beef hash. Serving size was very large. Both the skillet and the hash were full of flavor. Quick professional service from my server. I highly recommend Maxim's.

Oh my goodness the staff r such wonderful people, I know a lot of people r going to say the vegetables, yes the veggies r fantastic and so was the rest of the meal, so much variety and price can be on anyone's budget. Save half your meal and go for the dessert, u won't go wrong. The family had turkey, meatloaf, prime rib and a dish on a plank, you can go there yourself to experience that, good family place.

Immediate seating in a clean, comfortable, family friendly restaurant. Plenty of parking. A very busy, crowded place, even at 7:15 pm. Efficient service. Ordered my favorite, cedar plank salmon - tender, moist, lightly seasoned, and surrounded by baby red, mashed potatoes. Diner begins with their signature soup, chicken dumpling, that is over flowing with tender pieces of chicken, dumplings, carrots, and vegetables or a fresh salad and a loaf of freshly baked bread. A vegetable medely accompanied the meal. There were many dessert options. Tapioca pudding was included, although torts and baked pastries are available at a reduced price with an entree. I've ordered a piece of their chocolate Diablo tort to go, and it took 3 days to finish it! Reasonably priced, great food, you'll never leave hungry. Took home about 1/3 of the entree.

This is my favorite restaurant. The food is served hot and it is delicious. Lastly good portions sizes also. Lastly #2 the waitstaff ate exceptional.

Been going there ever since it replaced the pizza place.It was 5 star until last month. They reduced the menu a lot, but the big failure were the pickles -- they are terrible!!!!! Woman at the counter said they just changed.Please return to the original ones, or we won't be coming back :< Pete

Superior service, giant portions, and excellent coffee. Fresh bakery goods baked on-site, grab some to go! Restaurant is decorated with clever Γ’β¬ΕmaximsΓ’β¬Β painted on the walls. Possibly the best breakfast in Brookfield, maybe even Waukesha County. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served. Private rooms available.

Had a great experience for brunch. We had the strawberry bruchetta, veggie skillet, country breakfast, and the pepper jack brat Benedict. We all enjoyed the food. It was hot, fresh, with large portion sized. Great service, coffee and waters were never empty. Would definitely recommend to friends and will be bringing the family back.

We did our luncheon after my dad's funeral. They were very easy and accommodating to deal with. Everything went really smooth!

If you can't find sober you want on this menu you can't be pleased. And everything is as it should be our better. Taste home made. And awesome cheese cake too.

My only gripe is price, $61 for three people for breakfast. That does include tip. Eggs were good, bacon was bland, toast is weird. Drinks are very expensive, 3.50 for a orange juice. I don't think I'll be back for breakfast again.

Always great service and excellent food! They have a wide variety of options to choose from. Dinner entries come with a dessert of your choice, which are also delicious. Breakfast is served all day.

Food is always good. Our women's group enjoys this place very much. Salads , breakfast, dinners are all suburb. We leave after being served well & Feed with awesome food. We leave with full tummy's so satisfied. We also leave with leftovers. The deserts are so good you have to save 1/2 to have at home! Thank you for the very happy atmosphere. Our second time there my wife and I enjoyed everything. The menu is quite varied and portions are more than ample. The baked goods are outstanding, and quite reasonably priced. With a family atmosphere It is a cozy restaurant. Child seating in children's menus where available. There was adequate handicap access.

Oh man I love diners, and I mean I love GOOD diners and Maxim's is definitely one of those good ones out there, the menus are the picture of what a diner menu should look like and the service was astounding especially since we were a 20 something top? Like thats a huge amount of people to be sitting at the same table and my coffee stayed filled for most of my time there it was a wonderful night thank you guys :3

We had a hockey game at the Ponds ice arena and stopped after the game. Had a party of 12 and was seated within 5 minutes. Service was beyond great. Food was amazing and was served within 15-20 minutes. Portions are huge. Definitely one to remember when in the area.

Delicious fish fry and clam chowder. Curb side pick up with no contact other than giving a cash tip. The server wore a mask and latex gloves. We will definitely go back!

There are some places you return to because they are familiar. You know the host / hostess, you know the waitresses, you know the menu choices before you even get there. They are just comfortable. Well, Maxim's on Capital USED to be that way. Apparantly they have changed hands. Mostly new people as host / hostess, waitresses, and bus staff. More significantly, their menu is drastically reduced. Not to say that the meal wasn't good (because it was), but the choices are about half of what they used to be. This is going to take some getting used to.

Our family favorite. Best chicken noodle soup anywhere. My Dad loved going here with my Mom as best Manhattan prices anywhere. He has passed now, and Mom moved away, but we will all come back when we visit here.

Ordered 3 meals through curb side pickup and when we got home we saw they had added 3 cupcakes to our already delicious meal! Overall, great restaurant, family friendly service, and I can't wait to go back when the virus dies down!

I would have given 5 stars to Maxim's if our first server wasn't an old grouch. The food was absolutely perfect in every way. Lovely presentation, great flavor, and good prices. The coffee was very delicious! Our second server (a younger one) was wonderful! Such a shame the first server (older woman) had a stick up her you know what.
